Hans Rosling’s been refining this presentation for a number of years- I first saw him do it in a video from 2006. His ability to take complex statistics and make them easy to visualize is fantastic, although I’m just as interested in seeing more about how he crunched those numbers.
Still, fascinating work, and it makes a very optimistic statement about not only the present state of the world, but also the future.
